The Harvest to Table Family Program is a dynamic four-week initiative designed to engage families in hands-on learning about gardening and cooking nutritious meals. Each week, families will gather at Terra Tribe Farm to explore different aspects of gardening, starting from the basics of soil preparation and seed selection to planting and nurturing their own vegetable plots. Participants will learn about sustainable gardening practices, the importance of seasonal produce, and how to create healthy, thriving gardens that can provide fresh ingredients for their meals. In addition to gardening, the program includes interactive cooking sessions where families will prepare delicious and nutritious meals using the produce grown on the farm. Participants will gain essential cooking skills, learn about meal planning, and discover the nutritional benefits of fresh ingredients. Each session will promote teamwork and creativity, allowing families to bond over their shared experiences in the garden and kitchen. By the end of the program, families will not only have cultivated their gardens but also gained valuable knowledge and skills to maintain a healthy lifestyle together, fostering a lasting appreciation for fresh, homegrown and local food.
